I always liked the default layout of Screenpack 1.0. It's simple but beautiful and light. But I felt something was missing from it,
with more organization and fewer sprites, I got an interesting result.
The mountainside temple that usually comes with default screenpack have been replaced by newer versions, made by me. A new KFM by

► TUTORIAL - HOW TO CHANGE THE SCREENPACK RESOLUTION

Resolutions and its respective slots available:
- 640x360*:
 16, 48, 192, 630, 798, 1425**, 2130, 2343 and 3822 Slots

- 640x480:
 32, 72, 288, 966, 1176, 2052, 3053, 3266 and 5369 Slots

- 1280x720:
 33, 132, 572, 986, 1334, 2400, 4074, 8601 and 14118 Slots

* If you use 640x360 resolution, you will need to use the "options (360p).def" font in the font folder. Then renamed it to
"options.def", no quotes.
** 1368 slots before.

After you decide which resolution/number of slots you want to use, know that the engine reads text files from top to bottom.
And semicolons prevent a line from being read. Now look at this (part of the mugen.cfg file, in data folder):

;------------------------------------------  640x360 MOTIFS

;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-16Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-48Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-192Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-630Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-798Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-1425Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-2130Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-2343Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack360p-3822Slots.def

;------------------------------------------  640x480 MOTIFS

motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-32Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-72Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-288Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-966Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-1176Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-2052Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-3053Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-3266Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-5369Slots.def

;------------------------------------------  1280x720 MOTIFS

;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-33Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-132Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-572Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-986Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-1334Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-2400Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-4074Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-8601Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-14118Slots.def

If you look closely, you will see that the first line in the "640x480 MOTIFS" area it's uncommented, does not have a semicolon.
This means that this version (32-slot) is being used. Now in the [Config] section, look for the following lines:

GameWidth  = 640
GameHeight = 480

With the information presented, you now know why the motif (screenpack version) is 640x480 and the window size is also 640x480.
Let's say you want to use the 640x480 72-slot version. First disable the 32-slot version and enable the 72-slot version as follows:

;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-32Slots.def
motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-72Slots.def

Since you will keep the current resolution, there is no need to change the "GameWidth" and "GameHeight" lines.

Now let's say you want to switch from the 640x480 72-slot version to the 1280x720 132-slot version. First check that there are no
uncommented lines in the motifs section. You must have already uncommented 640x480 72-slot:

;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-32Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack480p-72Slots.def
...

Now uncomment the 132-slot version at 1280x720 section, like this:

;------------------------------------------  1280x720 MOTIFS

;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-33Slots.def
motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-132Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-572Slots.def
...

Then you can change the window size in the [Config] section:

GameWidth  = 1280
GameHeight = 720

And it's done.

One more tip. Let's say you're going to use the 132-slot version but the motif section looks like this:

motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-33Slots.def
motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-132Slots.def
;motif = data/mugenplus/screenpack720p-572Slots.def

Since the file is read from top to bottom, the version that will be read is the 33-slot version.

And this is how you change the resolutions and number of slots. As stated above, this is done in the mugen.cfg file in the
data folder. I even spoke in a very repetitive way so as not to leave any doubts. If you read this calmly, you can't go wrong.

Ps. If all lines that refer to available variations are commented (with a semicolon at the beginning of the line) the engine will
crash, since a motif is needed to be read in order to start the engine.
If all lines referring to available variations are uncommented (without a semicolon at the beginning of the line) the engine will
use the first one available.
